Discipline,
Crime, and Violence Report for school year 2005-2006 |
The purpose of this memo is to provide information about final submission of collected data for the Annual Report of Discipline, Crime, and Violence (DCV) for the 2005-2006 year. The data submitted should begin with the first day of the 2005-2006 school year. Data submitted will meet the reporting requirements for the following:
The data collection process remains the same; however, the data submitted will only include the regular 2005-2006 school year. The 2005-2006 data will not include summer school programs. The summer school program data will be reported with the 2006-2007 school year. The closing date for submission is July 31, 2006. It is important that the report be submitted on or before this date.
The database for the DCV 2006 report will be closed on July 31, 2006. The database for the DCV 2007 report will be opened on August 1, 2006, in order that summer school data can be entered for the 2006-2007 school year.
Two important reminders:
1. All incidents within a regional center/program or division center must be reported to the student’s enrolled division.
2. New codes for 2006-2007 were posted on the Virginia Department of Education Web site in February 2006. The new codes will go into effect August 1, 2006.
Additional
information related to the data collection process can be downloaded from the
Department of Education’s Web site at www.doe.virginia.gov. Users can select “Reports” at the top of the
home page, or “Reports” at the bottom, and then select “Discipline, Crime, and
